FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—HURRICANE RELIEF CONCERT PLANNED

David Harris producer of the Issaquah and nearby community Summer concerts announced yesterday that a special concert to raise money to assist the Hurricane Relief fund will be held in Issaquah. The Issaquah Concert for Hurricane Relief will be held Tuesday, September 6th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 pm on the lawn at the Issaquah Community Center. The concert jointly sponsored by the City of Issaquah and Music Aid Northwest will be free, donations to benefit the hurricane relief will be collected.

The hurricane, and the damage that has followed have been called the worst natural disaster ever in the United States of America. "We are a country that gives when other nations need help. Right now, our own country is in dire need of help, and some of the most caring people live right here in Issaquah - and in our neighboring communities," Remarked Harris.

Donations raised at the concert will go directly to Music Aid Northwest (a 501-c3 group), which will distribute the money to the Red Cross and any other related charities. "This promises to be a major concert," says Harris, Vice President for Music Aid Northwest. Many Northwest performers have agreed to play at the concert.

"We have already been contacted by a few businesses that are pledging donations, and hope to receive much more corporate sponsorship," stated Harris. Issaquah mayor, Ava Frisinger, Metropolitan King County Council members David Irons, Kathy Lambert and Issaquah Chamber ex executive director Suzanne Suther are among those who have volunteered to be at the event to make opening remarks.

"We were thrilled to hear last night’s concert audience clapping and cheering so enthusiastically, following our announcement that there would be an Issaquah Concert for Hurricane Relief," Harris continued. The Issaquah concerts have been an ongoing summer series for the past nine years and have grown immensely in popularity.

Harris asks anyone who would like to help or volunteer before, during or after the concert to please contact him at davidwh@nwlink.com or 425-392-6342.

The Issaquah Community Center lawn is in the heart of old downtown Issaquah. Take exit 17 off 1-90, south on Front Street and left on Bush Street.

GEOFF DOWNES TEAMS UP WITH 'WHITE'

SEATTLE, WA, 4/21/2005—Recording pioneer and keyboardist Geoff Downes will be touring and recording with White, a band formed by legendary drummer Alan White (Yes, John Lennon, George Harrison, Joe Cocker), along with Steve Boyce (MerKaBa), Karl Haug (Treason) and Kevin Currie (MerKaBa).

In the late 1970s, Downes, along with Trevor Horn, formed the innovative electro-pop duo The Buggles, which found fame with the pop classic 'Video Killed the Radio Star'.

Downes and Horn joined Alan White, Chris Squire and Steve Howe in Yes, and in 1980 the group released the album 'Drama', and went on to a world tour which culminated in a still-standing record of consecutive sold out performances at Madison Square Garden, in New York City.

After leaving Yes, Downes went on to form Asia, along with Steve Howe, bassist John Wetton (King Crimson) and drummer Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) in 1981, achieving critical acclaim with the band's debut album 'Asia'.

In addition to his continuing work with Asia, Downes has worked on a variety of solo projects as well as collaborations with other artists.
