Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36 - our vow to end breast cancer forever has become the promise of millions. Since launching the breast cancer movement 25 years ago, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has transformed the culture-how the world talks about and treats this devastating disease and has helped to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors. Today, Komen is the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. We fight to cure breast cancer at every stage, from the causes to the cures and the pain and anxiety of every moment in between.
The Komen Puget Sound Affiliate was founded in 1993 to forward the mission of our National organization-to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. The Affiliate is making a difference in the lives of those here in the Puget Sound area affected by breast cancer. Since inception, the Affiliate has invested more than

February 20
Dear friends,
It was with great disappointment we had to announce the cancellation of the West Coast leg of the current “In the Present” tour due to a medical emergency regarding bassist Chris Squire. Chris required immediate surgery that could not be postponed thus interrupting the tour shortly after it began on February 5th in Mexico City. This came as a complete shock to everyone, not the least being myself, but his operation was a success and after a period of rest, recuperation, and with his doctor’s approval, Chris is planning to return to the line-up fully recovered and stronger than ever.
I spoke with Chris recently and he’s doing well physically and in very good spirits. The entire band is looking forward to getting back on the road as soon as possible.
We thank you for your understanding, for keeping Chris and his family in your prayers, and look forward to the day we can again play YES music for you live on stage again.
Sincerely,
Alan White

In the Present Tour Cancelled
The "In The Present Tour," featuring Yes’ Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White, is cancelling the remaining scheduled shows.
Chris underwent surgery on his leg on February 11, 2009. The operation was successful and Chris is on his way to a full recovery. However, Chris has been advised by his physician that he needs a one month rest period, hence the reason for the cancellation of the rest of the tour dates.
As previous stated, Chris, and the rest of the band, wishes to apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused to their fans and hopes to see them again soon.
